Ackee: Josef Gattermayer (Co-founder of Ackee) on Tapito app: machine learning algorithms for apps
Josef Gattermayer will present a case study of the Tapito app, a project that Ackee has been working on for the last two years. Tapito is a mobile app that provides content from news websites using machine learning algorithms. Every reader has a personalised news feed. O₂ Czech Republic bought the start-up Tapito in 2017, and since then the app has been pre-installed in new devices sold by O₂. How demanding is it to develop such an app?
Josef Gattermayer is Co-founder of Ackee and Chief Executive Officer at its German subsidiary Ackee UG. Ackee was founded in 2012 and after five years in mobile development, Ackee with its inhouse team of 50 experts is one of the leading technology companies in the Czech Republic, boasting clients such as Bundestag, T-Mobile, Škoda Auto or startups like Babysitting.today. In addition to development, it also offers to its clients analysing, UX and UI design, testing and subsequent operations and maintenance of applications. In 2017, the company opened its Berlin branch.
